Anime, Anime and More Anime...

So as you all know, I've been watching Konjiki no Gash Bell lately and I'm currently on episode 81. The series so far has been pretty amazing, though I still can't stand Suzume or Naomi... especially Suzume. She's just so damn annoying! I never liked her as a kid and I still don't, though I do like the way she cuts fruits and stuff... albeit they're sometimes creepy because they're depicting Kiyomaro.
I've also started to watch "Fairy Tail" which isn't half bad. I believe it was created by some of the same people as "Rave Master" because that one little white dude with the cone nose is in it. I've only watched the first episode, but I plan on watching some more episodes to see how it goes. It has a lot of rave reviews (haha, I punned...) on Anime Crazy so I think I'll enjoy it. Natsu is pretty awesome so far and Lucy isn't as annoying as she first appeared.
Another anime I tried out was "Steins; Gate" and I did not like it. I couldn't get through the first episode because it was God awful. It might just be me and what I'm interested in, but I just didn't find it amusing. They have the whole "mad scientist" thing going on and I'm over that... except for Professor Franken Stein from Soul Eater, but that's another story in itself. It has decent reviews on Anime Crazy so I'd give it a try if I were you.

Writer's Block: Going the distance

Would you uproot your life and move to another city for someone that you love?

At this point in my life, I would.

Writer's Block: Fairest one of all

What is something you would never want to change about yourself?

That's a hard one, but I'd have to go with my strong and honest opinions. I'll tell you like it is and not sugarcoat it. I think that it's one of the best things about me, though sometimes I'm way too blunt and honest for my own good and it gets me in trouble... oh well.
What is your LEAST favorite movie of all time, and why?

"The Comebacks".
Seriously, I wasted fucking nine bucks to see this when it came out because it looked good. Boy, was I wrong.

Writer's Block: Showing your pride

What do you so strongly believe in that you would march in the streets to support, and why?

- Gay Marriage (which is now legal in New York State!!).
I'm gay, lesbian or bi myself, but I know many people who are and I love them dearly. Just because the bible doesn't say Adam and Steve or Thelma and Eve doesn't mean that two people of the same sex can't be in love or married. My thing is, if a man and a woman can get married even though they can't stand one another, why can't two people of the same sex, whom are in love with each other, get married.
- Non-religion Believers.
I've been fucked over numerous times because of "God", which is one of the reasons why I don't believe in him; I don't believe in any specific God at all. Religion was the main reason why my boyfriend's family despised me in the first place and the reason why my Nana was abusive in her last couple years of living. I have nothing against people who are religious at all. My best friend's family are strict Catholics and they love me because I'm a good person overall (in their eyes). I just can't stand it when people judge me for what/whom I believe in. I could go on and on about how religion has fucked me over, but I think you all get the picture of why I feel so strongly about it.

Writer's Block: Going for the throat

Would you rather be a vampire or a vampire hunter, and why?

Vampire Hunter.
Because Vampires suck and are way too overrated, so why not just kill them?

Satoshi to Ash...

English dubs make me lawl. There's no other way I can describe my feelings for American versions of animes. Like, right now, I'm watching Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds with my uncle and I can't help but stifle a few laughs and comments. Seriously?!? "You can't make an omelet unless you break a few eggs."
I mean, I understand that most dubs are meant for children under the age of thirteen, but I kinda feel like dumbing things down for them isn't helping them at all. You can't change Sanji's (One Piece) cigarette into a lollipop and think that kids aren't going to catch on. Or changing the color of Goku's (DBZ) wounds and blood to black. Kids nowadays are a lot smarter than we like to let on.
I'd also like to comment on the voices. Really?!? I love when they try to give accents to characters that are "from another country" and they turn out wicked bad. Like in this episode of YGO! 5Ds. This one chick (Sherry I believe...?) has one of the worst accents ever. It's like a mix of french and Russian and it's just a total fucking mess.
I do like seeing/hearing classic voices like Eric Stuart (of Pokemon and Slayers fame) and Kari Wahlgren (of Cardcaptors and Samurai Champloo fame) every once in a while.

I can't say that I don't like all dubs especially since I do adore Soul Eater and Slayers in either English or Japanese, but for shows like Konjiki no Gash Bell (aka Zatch Bell) and Pokemon (after Pokemon: The Mastermind of Mirage), the voices are crappy and the dialogue makes me feel like a brainless two year old.

Writer's Block: Play it again, e-reader

Which book do you find yourself regularly rereading, and why?

Writer's Block: See you on the other side

If you could find out what happens after you die, would you want to know?

Nahh, because I'd be dead so why would I care?
